The year was 1951, India was now a free country and so were we. We were free to live, breathe and dream. This dream led to the inception of Santosh Group. What started as a seed of an idea has led to this leading super specialty starch company- Santosh Starch Products Limited.

Santosh Group was founded by Shri Sohanlalji Chowdhary as a trading house for spices, grains, starch, and various other products. With experience in the field of trading starch, the company decided to venture into the manufacturing of super specialty starch in the year 1983. With the growing demands of paper, textile, adhesives and numerous other industries, we saw an opportunity. Hence, there was no point waiting but rather seizing the chance and utilizing it to the best possible way.

Keeping up with this thought and zeal, we added a new member to the Santosh family. In 1990, we acquired Salem Glucose Private Limited (which is now known as Santosh Limited), keeping in mind the high demands of sweeteners and starches in the central and southern regions of India. Today, it is one of the largest corn wet milling units that cater to domestic as well as international market. It’s been a long journey from where we started. We are amazed and full of pride that we have come so far. The ride was never easy but we have managed to carve a name that is recognized for its high standards of quality and dedication. With this, we look forward to many more years of serving our clients and reaching homes across the globe.
